Good day!

Last week, OpenAI introduced collaborative presentation creation inside ChatGPT, letting teams build, edit and comment on slide decks together. It’s rolling out to eligible Pro, Business and Enterprise users with Space access. Google made a related move with Gemini Notebook, giving people more control over how source material becomes presentations and videos.

The most interesting new products target the gaps between established systems: finding scattered information, surfacing buried Slack messages and handling routine customer questions with a human handoff.

In today’s AI tools digest

  • 3 new AI tools tackling everyday business bottlenecks

  • ChatGPT and Google rethink AI-powered presentations

  • Mistral introduces new AI forecasting capabilities

🚨 LOOKOUT (FOR SLACK)

Digest: Slack is useful until something important disappears between project updates and casual conversations. Lookout watches for situations you describe in plain English, then alerts the right person or starts a follow-up action. It tackles the cost of constantly checking messages.

For: Small operations teams, founders, agencies and sales or support teams coordinating work through Slack.

Solves: Having somebody repeatedly monitor conversations for urgent customer issues, unanswered requests, deadlines or messages requiring action.

Price: Listed as free at launch. Detailed paid-plan pricing has not been publicly established.

Setup: Moderate — connect a Slack workspace, select what the application should monitor and describe the conditions that matter. It can send alerts and work with Linear for follow-up tasks. No coding is needed for the basic monitoring workflow.

🔎 QUELLO

Digest: The answer to a simple business question might be hiding in a Google Drive document, a Notion page or a PDF somebody shared months ago. Quello brings those sources together, answers questions about them and links back to the original passages so you can check the result.

For: Founders, consultants, project managers and small teams with information scattered across multiple services.

Solves: Searching several applications, comparing document versions and reconstructing decisions before a meeting or customer conversation.

Price: Free access is available. Detailed paid-plan pricing has not been publicly published.

Setup: Moderate — create a workspace and connect supported sources, including Google Drive, Notion, GitHub and PDFs. Its web interface requires no coding. Using the information inside other AI applications may need additional configuration.

A useful distinction here is that Quello emphasises source-backed answers. That matters more than it sounds when the information concerns a client commitment, policy or project decision. Still, another knowledge-search product only earns its place if it reliably finds information that existing search tools miss.

💁 TORI

Digest: Tori reads a company's website and support documentation so it can answer customer questions using information the business has already published. When the question needs a person, it transfers the conversation with its history and context intact, rather than making the customer start again.

For: Small software businesses, online service providers and companies receiving recurring product or technical questions.

Solves: Repeatedly answering questions already covered in documentation, then asking customers to explain everything again when an automated reply cannot resolve their issue.

Price: Free plan available — 50 AI responses per month, one seat and one agent. Paid plans start at $35/month for 300 AI responses and two seats.

Setup: Moderate — provide a website or help-centre URL, configure how Tori responds and embed the chat interface on your site. Installing the widget may require website-editing access or some technical assistance.

Tori comes from TalkJS, an established messaging-software company. The underlying messaging infrastructure is therefore not new, but Tori's publicly accessible support application is a distinct offering. Its maker says the team used it privately before opening public signups this week.

⚡ EVERYTHING ELSE IN AI TOOLS & MODELS

OpenAI upgraded GPT-6 Pro in ChatGPT, introducing faster responses, improved use of connected tools and the ability to run separate tasks in parallel. The changes are rolling out to eligible Pro users.

Google Gemini Notebook introduced a new review process for slide decks and video overviews. Users can inspect and change an outline before the final material is generated. The feature is rolling out globally over the coming week.

OpenAI began rolling out updated ChatGPT Voice models and additional voices, including new language and regional voice options. Available voices vary by account and location.

BILL introduced new AI controls for finance teams, allowing customers to monitor and manage automated actions. Its October rollout also covers payment-risk checks and more automated onboarding, although individual features have different availability schedules.

Google Search introduced clearer source links in AI Mode and AI Overviews, including more prominent links within AI-generated answers. For publishers and businesses dependent on search traffic, the visibility of original sources is an important development to watch.

GitHub Copilot removed six older AI models from most Copilot experiences, including GPT-5.5 and Grok 4.5. Development teams using those options need to select supported alternatives.

GitHub made its AI-assisted security-fix workflow generally available. It investigates code-security alerts, proposes changes and checks whether the problem has been addressed before submitting the fix for review. Access is limited to eligible GitHub Enterprise Cloud security customers and requires administrator setup.

Cursor added shareable interactive canvases to its cloud agents, allowing development teams to present results in a format colleagues can explore rather than simply reading code or a text summary. It also expanded support for large development environments.

Mistral released Timestral, a family of AI models designed to forecast numerical data such as equipment readings, demand and operating patterns. It is available for technical teams to run on their own data, rather than as a ready-to-use forecasting application for small businesses.

That's it for today!
